We are writing with important information regarding upcoming vaccine booster clinics and the requirement to provide proof of vaccination prior to February 1.
- If you have already received your booster AND uploaded proof of vaccination through the CoVerified app, you do not need to read any further.
- If you have not received your booster shot OR have not uploaded proof of vaccination, including your booster information, please read on.
Covid-19 booster requirement
For everyone’s safety, Colby will be requiring a Covid-19 booster shot for all students, faculty, and staff enrolled or working on campus effective February 1 (for the small number of individuals who will not be eligible by February 1, the booster is required within 30 days of eligibility). Individuals with approved exemptions for the fall will be exempt for the spring semester as well.
As a reminder, individuals with either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine are eligible for a booster five months from the date of their second dose. Those who received a Johnson & Johnson / Jansen vaccine are eligible two months after their initial dose. Additional information about vaccine boosters may be found here and through your primary care physician.
Vaccine booster clinics
We have made arrangements for two additional Covid-19 booster clinics capable of vaccinating 840 individuals on Monday, January 10 and Wednesday, January 12. Both clinics will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the testing center in Roberts Building. Pfizer and Moderna boosters will be available.
Use the CoVerified app to schedule your attendance on January 10 or 12. Instructions are outlined in section 5 of the following guide. Please note that you will also be asked to complete a consent form as part of this process (booster consent).
All of us will be required to submit proof of vaccination to the College no later than February 1. CoVerified is now able to accept booster record uploads from Apple and Android devices and through the web interface.
Instructions are outlined in section 4 of the following guide. If you are using your phone, you may need to delete the app and reinstall it to access the functionality. Section 2 of the guide includes app installation instructions. We would appreciate you uploading your booster records at your earliest convenience to assist our health management efforts. If you have difficulty uploading your proof of vaccination, please ask for assistance on your next trip to the testing center.
